Getting up is the worst, right? Let’s be honest with ourselves, if we could just lay in bed all day without the need for food, work, or biological needs, we would just lay there and scroll through Facebook cat videos all day. Don’t lie to yourself, you have a small device in your hand right now that can connect you to the whole world outside without you ever needing to leave the comfort of your blankets. Of course, unless you’re some kind of self-aware robot, that’s not possible. You might as well get up and get out and spread positivity throughout the rest of the world. There are all kinds of people you can meet and places you can go to. You can be that cartoon character that just walks outside in a world of black and white and be the one who finally spreads color to the world, but how can you be that type of person? Let’s take a look at some motivational steps to getting up and getting going.
Step One: You Have To Get Up In The Morning
The first thing you need to do in the morning is getting up in the first place. Don’t let your morning be weighed down by negativity. You can’t just wake up in the morning and tell yourself that you’re going to have a bad day. How do you know you’re going to have a bad day? Can you see the future? If you can then, let me know tomorrow’s lottery numbers because I could use a couple million in my pocket for various, yet necessary, purchases.
When you wake up in the morning you need to automatically ooze positivity. That might sound hard to do because you’re still oozing drool from your mouth from having your REM sleep interrupted by the television you refuse to turn off at night, but you need to just wake up like the sun is shining on you for the first time. Everyone has a reason why they can’t just pop up out of bed like their life is going to change but take that reason and crush it like a bug. One of the ways you get up in the morning like a positive ray of sunshine is by sleeping early at night.
Step Two: You Have To Sleep Early At Night
You can’t wake up if you don’t sleep and you can’t wake up at a reasonable time if you don’t sleep at a reasonable time. Do you want to know why you’re not sleeping a reasonable hour? That’s because you’re pushing your eyeballs against a blue light emitting cellular device every night scrolling through other people’s lives and hoping you could be taking the vacations they’re taking and going on the adventures they’re going on. Do you want to know why you’re not there yet? Well, that’s because you haven’t talked your way into success, but how can you do that?
Step Three: Talk Your Way Out Of Negativity
The third and final step to getting up and getting out is through using the power of your own words. No one’s going to tell you how to live your life. The best people you should surround yourself with are people who have gone through the worst possible things in life and continue to stay truly positive. They don’t mask themselves with a fake smile. They live a life of positivity. They have a contagious way of spreading positivity. You don’t need to wear a face mask to stop yourself from catching the positivity bug.
Just talk yourself out of it. Your words have more weight than you know.
